Acupoint Injection Therapy

Acupoint Injection Therapy (AIT) is used for treatment of chronic and neuropathic (nerve) pains and many other conditions in the body, using injections of vitamins, medications and herbs into the acupuncture point. 

It is is a very safe and also effective means of healing injuries to the soft tissues, tendons and ligaments.

About Dr. Kang

Dongcheul “DK” Kang has an extensive background in scientific research at Howard Hughes Medical Institute and at Mayo Clinic, studying Alzheimer’s, Huntington Disease, Parkinson’s, cerebral ataxia, and other neurodegenerative diseases.

    DK is a certified Acupuncture Physician in Eastern medicine and aims to treat the fundamental problems of the human body with a holistic approach by bridging the gap between Eastern and Western sciences. DK's treatments are not only preventative but also offer continuous improvement and provide patient-centered, quality care.

  • Education and Experience

    - Licensed as an Acupuncture Physician in Florida. License Number: AP 3615.


    – Previously founded Jacksonville Acupuncture & Herbs LLC.


    – Studied Acupuncture at Florida College of Integrative Medicine, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Professional Health Studies and a Master's in Eastern medicine.


    – Worked as a research scientist for 17 years at Baylor College of Medicine, Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Houston, and Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.


    – Studied Molecular & Cell Biology at the University of Texas in Dallas, graduated with a Master's, and finished a Ph.D. program.


    – Worked as a patent applicant in a pharmaceutical company related to interferon and hepatitis B vaccine (C.J.), Samsung Group in South Korea.


    – Graduated with a Bachelor's in Biological Science at SungKyunKwan University in South Korea, Valedictorian among 5000 graduates.

  • What are your business hours?

    Tampa Top Acupuncture and Herbs LLC is open from Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm, Saturday, 9am-4pm, and closed on Sundays.

  • What are your prices?

    1st visit, full consultation with treatment (70 minutes): $110


    Regular session, follow-up consultation with treatment

    (60 minutes): $90


    Consultation only (~ half hour): $50


    Herbs: varies per perscription

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    We accept credit card, cash, check, and ASH card etc.


    We also provide super bills for patients to submit claims for insurance reimbursement.

  • About Insurance

    We do not bill insurance directly. However, we can give you a detailed receipt 

     and super bill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
